Disciples of Love
God is Love
The Word says in I John 4: 16, "And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is Love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him". Everyday of our lives we should reach in our heart to draw on the love that God has for us. We should move forward in our love for God. We demonstrate our love for Him by obeying His Word and choosing to love one another.
Faith Works Through Love
Paul wrote in Galations 5: 6 that faith works through love. If we want the faith to move mountains, it must work through love. If we want the faith to lay hands on the sick and they recover, it must work through love. If we want God to honor our faith, we must make sure that all of our efforts are done in love.
LOVE DEVOTION
I love you with the love of Christ
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Colossians 3:14
The love of Christ is the bond of perfection that will keep His Body connected as one and united. His love will draw others who are looking for real love when they see this in action in our lives. Let's show some extraordinary love to someone today and make our bond of perfection stronger than ever!
Perfect Love
1 John 4:18 declares that there is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in Love.
2 Timothy 1:7 lets us know that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind. Walk in the power that God has given you today to love with the mind of Christ.
